Event description

Take your community group on a workout

There is never enough money, volunteers or committee members, so we have to work smarter. Being a part of one of these Workout sessions will help your community group be even stronger and more effective, and better able to achieve your goals in the real world. More than just training, it’s a chance to connect with others with similar concern for your community, apply proven methods to how you actually operate, and build a practical toolkit for ongoing community leadership. It could be the most useful 3.5 hours you ever invest in your community.

These workshops are especially useful for non-profit board or committee members but will also be of benefit to managers and coordinators (paid or unpaid) who work with them. We strongly recommend two or three people from your organisation take part to multiply the learning. Places are strictly limited.

There are four opportunities:

10:30am-2:00pm, Tues 04 November, Mt Hutt Memorial Hall, Methven (light lunch provided)

5:30pm-9:00pm, Tues 04 November, Wakanui Room, Ashburton Library (supper provided)

1:00pm-4:30pm, Mon 17 November, Wakanui Room, Ashburton Library (with a special focus on community centres & halls)

5:30pm-9:00pm, Mon 17 November, Wakanui Room, Ashburton Library (with a special focus on sports groups) (supper provided)
