Event description

We are thrilled to invite you to our Teacher Information Night for the Helpmann Academy Graduate Exhibition 2023.

The Teacher Information Night is a fantastic opportunity to view the exhibition before bringing your classes through as you learn from the curators and artists about how the exhibition came together.

TEACHER INFORMATION NIGHT
Tuesday 4 April from 5:30pm – 7:00pm
Adelaide Contemporary Experimental (ACE)
Lion Arts Centre, North Terrace, Kaurna Yarta/Adelaide

Featuring works by 21 of South Australia’s most promising graduates and emerging visual artists, across a diverse range of media, materials, processes and technologies, the exhibition provides a snapshot of the future of contemporary art in our state. It is also a brilliant example of what can be achieved through an arts degree with Flinders University and the University of South Australia.

This is also your chance to hear from Alise Hardy, Education Coordinator at ACE and Project Curator and emerging artist, Hannah Coleman as well as some of the exhibiting artists to learn more about the Graduate Exhibition 2023 including the selection process, curating the space, working with emerging artists and much more.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

ABOUT ACE
Located in Adelaide’s iconic Lion Arts Centre precinct, ACE is South Australia’s leading independent contemporary visual arts organisation, proudly supporting artists to develop and present work on Kaurna Yarta (Kaurna Country).

Established through the merger of Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia (CACSA) and the Australian Experimental Art Foundation (AEAF) in 2017, ACE builds upon the legacy of over 100 years of innovative experimental arts practice in South Australia.

Through exhibitions, studios, public programs, professional development opportunities and publications, ACE expands the edges of contemporary visual art practice, embraces diversity and provides a space for artists to take risks.
