MUBC Henley Cocktail Night

Join us for a night in support of Melbourne University Boat Club as we rally behind two crews preparing to take on one of the most iconic stages in world rowing, the Henley Royal Regatta. This campaign represents more than just two boats travelling overseas. It reflects the strength, depth, and ambition being built across MUBC, with both the men’s and women’s programs earning the opportunity to compete internationally after outstanding domestic seasons.

The evening will bring together athletes, alumni, families, supporters, and the wider rowing community for a great night at the club, featuring live auctions, canapés, cocktails and drinks, and the chance to be part of the journey as MUBC takes on the world stage. Your ticket includes canapés and initial drinks on arrival, with additional drinks available throughout the evening for purchase.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the Henley theme by wearing a school, club, or rowing blazer where possible, helping bring a touch of the River Thames to Melbourne for the evening.

University of Melbourne Men’s Four

On 27 March 2026, the University of Melbourne’s U21 Men’s Four were crowned national champions, confirming their place among the country’s best. Off the back of that success, the crew has now set its sights on the Henley Royal Regatta, held on the historic River Thames.

All members of the men’s crew also represented Victoria in the 2026 Victorian Youth Eight, further highlighting the calibre, consistency, and depth of athletes within the boat. At Henley, the crew will compete in the Prince Albert Challenge Cup, the premier event for university men’s coxed fours, where they will test themselves against leading student crews from around the world.

University of Melbourne Women’s Eight

Following a strong season for the University of Melbourne women’s program, this women’s Eight is set to take on one of rowing’s most iconic stages, the Henley Royal Regatta on the historic River Thames. The Women’s Eight heading to Henley reflects the depth, progression, and performance of the women’s program at MUBC. Competing in the Bridge Challenge Plate, the premier event for intermediate women’s eights, the crew is ready to go head-to-head with the leading international boats. This is the second year the Bridge Challenge Plate has been racing at HRR - an event that was bought in to increase gender parity at this historic regatta.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for women in rowing and also for the women’s program at MUBC as it marks one of the only occasions a coxed eight has been sent from the club. Members within the crew have achieved medal success at both state and national level, highlighting the strength and competitive standard being built across the program. The crew features athletes that bring a wealth of international experience, having represented Australia at U23 and World University Games level and competed in US collegiate programs including the University of Miami, the University of Michigan, University of Washington and the University of Texas. We have been working hard on the Yarra river and sincerely appreciate all the support we receive from the club, University, sponsors, family and friends.
