Henna Workshop

Our henna workshops are designed for children aged 10 and over. Participants should wear old clothing and have long hair tied back, as the natural henna paste (made from henna leaf powder, lemon juice, sugar, and essential oils) can stain skin and fabric. The stain may last up to two weeks.

The session will begin with a brief overview of henna’s cultural history and a demonstration of basic application techniques. Participants will then create simple designs on paper before optionally applying a small design to their own hand. Each child will receive a small tube of practice henna to take home.

Please note: children who choose to apply henna to their skin will not be able to use any play equipment after the workshop.
