Hennessy Rose: The KATABASIS Album Launch

Hennessy Rose, the alternative folk project of creator Clare Hennessy and producer Luke Fuller, invites you to the launch of their new album, KATABASIS. The release will take place on Sunday, November 16th, from 3pm at the Petersham Bowls Club.

This event comes on the heels of the highly anticipated album KATABASIS, a narrative-driven experience chronicling a journey into hell and out the other side—a deeply personal odyssey born from Clare Hennessy's own life. Created on Gadigal land, the record is a powerful love letter to Australian gothic, evoking the cinematic landscape of a western, with lush sound design and ethereal vocals.

KATABASIS follows Hennessy Rose’s years spent carving out their distinctive sound—music for lovers of artists like Ethel Cain, Mazzy Star, and Lana Del Rey. The album’s release will feature a captivating performance by Hennessy Rose, joined by supporting act Rees Lucia, with more special guests to be announced.

This is an 18+ Show.

Getting to The PBC! Access to the club and main stage is via 12 stairs at the front of the venue. We are not wheelchair accessible currently but we are working on it! There is free, untimed parking on the avenue and Brighton Street and drop off / pick up is available via our driveway.

Access to the green room / downstairs stage is via 15 stairs down onto the ground level. If you have special access needs please email or call us ahead of time and we will do our best to plan with you and help you into the club.
