Three acclaimed choreographers give voice to women’s stories through bold, distinctive movement languages:

GLASSWORKS 

Emrys Goldsworthy’s Glassworks fuses post-classical contemporary dance merged with pointe work and neoclassical ballet, set to the hypnotic music of Philip Glass (including Violin Concerto No. 1). Three female characters confront trials in love, moments of self-destruction, and the hard-won journey of transcending their past. This is an immense work full of a variety of ballet styles with numerous variations, pas de deux, pas de quatres and pas de cinq.  The work is focussed on intricate movement and is a must for lovers of pure progressive classicism.

RENDEZVOUS

Rosetta Cook presents Rendezvous, a work that ignites with passion and sensuality. A couple entwines in a tango steeped in ballet elegance—fiery, intimate, and unapologetically sensual. See this review of Rosetta’s Hall of Flame, a precursor work of Rendezvous:

ONE OF THOSE DAYS 

Arianna Marchiori’s One of Those Days investigates the interplay between a woman’s internal cycles and the external expectations that shape her daily experience. Through repetition and evolving movement patterns, the body reveals subtle fluctuations in energy, mood, and sensitivity – states that are often concealed or regulated.

The piece examines how these internal rhythms are negotiated, masked, or synchronised in response to personal and societal pressures. Within a collective female presence, unison becomes both a site of connection and conformity, where moments of empathy, tension, and quiet resistance emerge.

Through shifting relationships between the individual and the group, the work explores how women relate, support, and recognise each other – allowing space for both shared experience and individual truth.
