Summer 2026 Herbal Tea Blending Workshop – 2.5 Hours at Black Barn Farm

With a basket and scissors in hand, settle into a slower pace of Black Barn Farm with an afternoon focused on plants, practical skills and a clear sense of place. We’ll begin with a relaxed walk around the property, getting to know the herbs and perennial plants that grow easily here and probably in your own backyard of neighbourhood. You’ll learn how to identify a range of useful ingredients and gather a bundle of fresh herbs to take home—simple, seasonal and straight from the paddock or patch.

Back at the barn, we’ll cover straightforward methods for drying and storing your harvest so you can make the most of it throughout the year. Then we’ll break for a farm-made afternoon tea featuring what’s in season.

Afterwards, we’ll explore the beneficial properties of the dried herbs already prepared on the shelves—how they support wellbeing, how they taste, and how they work together. With guidance, you’ll then blend your own herbal brew to take home.

It’s a calm, practical workshop that offers the satisfaction of learning useful skills, spending time on the land and creating something nourishing when you flick the kettle back home.
