HERD: the Fitting Room

We are trying something new!
Come hang out with HERD for the Fitting Room, a big, lively storytelling workshop designed to feel more like a day of shopping with your best friends than a writing seminar.
There will be time to play, experiment, get feedback, and discover which stories fit you. You’ll work on personal stories around several different themes, swap ideas with other women, and help us choose the themes for HERD’s next several shows.
No polished story required. No writing experience necessary. Just bring a few memories, a little curiosity, and a willingness to try something on.
Some stories will fit perfectly. Some will need a little tailoring. And some? Back on the rack.
Come try on some stories. Find one that fits. Maybe even discover something new about yourself along the way.
FAQs
- What do you mean 'by women, for women'?
We affirm that HERD is indeed women-centered AND we mean that in a very gender-expansive way. We have intentionally leaned harder into being specific about who is NOT invited, than naming the expansive list of those who are. And those not invited are people who identify as male. Sorry guys.
- Can I bring a guy along?
HERD is a rare opportunity for women to tell stories to a room full of women. It's really special. Tell your awesome, feminist, male friends that this show isn't for them. They will get it.
- Where should I park?
There is street parking all around the event.
- Is this an all ages show?
The show is for people who identify as female and are 18+.
