Join us for a nourishing and generative day of guided somatic and creative practices curated especially for grounding and orienting at the start of a new year.
Attune to your cellular, fluid self as a place of imagination and choice-making. Facilitated movement, sounding, writing and visual mapping explorations will provide a space for deep connection and orientation to self, place, and your wider communities of practice. Connect with embodied and contemplative ways of thinking, perceiving and relating to the physical environment to generate fresh perspectives. Enjoy the peaceful studio and garden at the neighborhood house plus a guided excursion to the Merri Creek.
The workshop will draw on Body-Mind Centering®, Social Presencing Theater and collaborative arts-based practices which bring body-life into relational expression and consciousness. All are welcome. It will be of particular interest to dance and performance-makers, practice-led researchers in the arts, and anyone interested in somatics and embodied ways of generating experiential knowledge.
