Heritage Hands: Make Your Own Porcelain Mug with Grace Ellen Ceramics - Sandgate 2026
Description
Make Your Own Porcelain Mug with Grace Ellen Ceramics
Discover the beauty of working with porcelain in this relaxed, hands-on ceramics workshop with Natalie Harris of Grace Ellen Ceramics.
Presented as part of the Heritage Hands Sandgate Festival, this two-hour workshop invites you to slow down, get creative and experience the satisfaction of making something by hand.
Using traditional hand-building techniques, you'll shape your own porcelain mug, add a handle and create a piece full of personal character. Explore soft curves, organic shapes and the lovely imperfections that make handmade ceramics special.
No experience is necessary, and all clay, tools and guidance are included.
What happens to your mug?
Following the workshop, your mug will be taken to Natalie's Bulimba studio to dry and be bisque fired.
Collection details will be provided after the workshop.
An optional follow-up glazing class will also be available at Nat's Bulimba studio, at an additional cost, where you can glaze your mug and have it fired for everyday use.
