Heritage Walking Tour
Event description
In partnership with the Australian Railway Historical Society, we’re bringing South Eveleigh’s extraordinary history to life through immersive, 60-minute guided walking tours. Journey through time as expert guides uncover the stories behind the site’s iconic architecture, powerful machinery, and the workers who shaped its legacy. From the rise of unionism to the 1917 Great Strike, discover how this once “roaring giant” of the NSW railways has been transformed into a vibrant cultural and community precinct.
This tour is part of The Loco Markets – launching Thursday 19 June! For six weeks, from Thursday - Sunday, South Eveleigh comes alive with artisan stalls, handcrafted gems, free live music, and family-friendly workshops. Check out the full lineup here.
