Herston Reset: Aussie Encounters End of Semester Celebration 🦘🌭

Celebrate the end of Semester 2 with a true Aussie experience at Herston Reset: Aussie Encounters, thanks to UQ's Overseas Student Health Cover provider - Allianz Care.

Get up close with some of Australia’s most iconic animals thanks to D’Aguilar Wildlife, enjoy a classic Aussie-style sausage sizzle, and take part in the Herston Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win prizes. There’ll also be snacks provided by the Transition and Belonging team to keep you fuelled as you head into the study period, plus plenty of opportunities to relax and socialise.

You’ll also have the chance to connect with teams from Library Services, Academic Skills Advisers, UQ RAP Network team, APS (Association of Postgraduate Students) and some of our Herston-based student societies. Whether you’re an international student discovering Australian culture or a local looking to unwind before SWOTVAC, everyone is welcome to come along!

📅 Date: Tuesday 28th October 2025

🕒 Time: 11:30am – 1:30pm (Scavenger hunt will commence at 11.50am outside Cafe Dose, and will finish by 12.30pm)

📍 Location: Herston Campus (outside Cafe Dose)

🍴 Catering: Aussie-style sausage sizzle, light refreshments, and snacks provided by the Transition and Belonging team

🦘 Highlights: Live Australian wildlife experience with D’Aguilar Wildlife, scavenger hunt with prizes, and lots more!

👥 Audience: All Herston students are welcome and encouraged, with a special focus on welcoming our international students!
