Event description

Wondering what to do with your kids these School Holidays? You're in luck! The Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre is hosting 3 x days of School Holiday Programs, powered by BOP Industries.

Whether you have a budding entrepreneur, a city planner, or a digital innovator in your household, we've got you covered. Take a look at the three different programs running these school holidays below:

Digital Creators | Monday April 11th 2022 | Ages 8 - 12
The future is changing rapidly and the way we live, work, and play is evolving and developing on a daily basis. How will we use technology to solve challenges in the future?

In this program, students will be exploring a range of hands-on creative technologies as they work to solve a series of challenges and see how these technologies can be used to innovate around the world.

Designed Spaces | Tuesday April 12th 2022 | Ages 8 - 14
Imagine Hervey Bay in the year 2050. How would you like to design it?

In this program, students will be redesigning areas of the local community to make them more sustainable, technological, and fun for the community. They'll even have an opportunity to pitch your designs to local council!

Business Builders | Wednesday April 13th 2022 | Ages 12 - 16
Have you ever had an idea for a business? Did you ever think you might be able to actually bring this idea to life?

In this program, we'll show young people how they can build and create their launch strategy for their very own business idea. We will be working with students to follow their interests and grow their ideas into a tangible product or service. So if your child would like to swap pocket money for business income, this is the program for them!

All programs will be powered by leading youth education & technology company, BOP Industries, whose mission is to show young people that no matter their age, their situation, or their postcode, there is no limits to what they can achieve through innovation.

If you have any questions about the programs, please email info@bopindustries.com or the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre at learninghub@hbnc.com.au - we hope to see you soon!

This event is supported by a Community Event grant from the Fraser Coast Regional Council.
