Our annual HEY Day celebration is back!
Join us for HEY Day: Pride in Our Stories - Making Change for Good on Friday 27th March for a day filled with celebration, connection, free food and fun!
HEY Day celebrates the 2025 HEY Grant Round 15 recipients, spotlighting the pride and passion of LGBTIQA+ young people across Victoria in promoting inclusion, diversity and connection for their peers.
Now in its 15th year, the HEY Grants program has invested more than $1.7 million to 158 projects designed by and for LGBTIQA+ young people, building stronger, more inclusive communities by creating opportunities for connection and belonging across the state.
What to expect:
Enjoy free food, queer joy, and be part of a movement that celebrates, connects and empowers LGBTIQA+ young people here in Victoria.

Anybody else who is passionate about improving the lives and wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ young people!

Friday 27th March, 10:00am - 4:30pm. Registration and arrival 9:45am-10:00am.
Where:
Level 4 (Wayi Djerring), Queen Victoria's Women's Centre (210 Lonsdale St, Melbourne 3000, VIC)
Cost:
Young people: It's free for everyone 0-25!
Workers: *$15 for a ticket, with funds going towards catering

- What is HEY?
HEY, or Health Equal Youth, is a first of its kind program delivering place-based mental health and community supports to and for LGBTIQA+ young people in Victoria, with a focus on rural and regional areas.
The HEY Program is made up of 16 HEY Partner organisations, located all across the state, who work together to deliver best-practice inclusive services, referrals, training and workshops, resource development, and policy advocacy to government.

The Healthy Equal Youth (HEY) Grants are an annual small grant round for LGBTQIA+ projects and initiatives.
Grants aren’t just provided to LGBTQIA+ based services but are also given to mainstream organisations to support the further breakdown of barriers that exist for LGBTQIA+ young people in all spaces.
HEY Grant categories:
Youth-led projects: for LGBTIQA+ young people with innovative projects they know will support their LGBTIQA+ peers. A youth-led application must be proposed and led by people who are under 25! (They can get people older than that to proofread and assist them).
Social Connectedness projects: for services to expand or improve their support for LGBTIQA+ young people, and for targeted projects for LGBTIQA+ young people that will improve their mental health and wellbeing.

- Who is HEY Day for?
If you are a young person living in Victoria who identities as LGBTIQA+, questioning, or an ally, this event is for you!
We invite LGBTIQA+ community members, youth workers, and services which work with and for LGBTIQA+ young people to come along and connect with others from our amazing rainbow community :)
