Community Spotlighting Night
Event description
Join Murrumbidgee Landcare, Young Landcare, Riverina Local Land Services and NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust for a spotlight event at Clover Leigh Gold Club, where you will have the opportunity to see some of the nocturnal animals that live in the Golf Course Reserve.
You will also have the opportunity to:
- Learn more about the squirrel glider and what habitat this species occupies
- Hear about the squirrel glider and the Biodiversity Conservation Trust restoration project that has been implemented on the Golf Course
- Hear what Local Land Services is doing to help conserve squirrel gliders in the Riverina
- Learn how you can get involved and help this species to recover
- Head out for a guided spotlight in the reserve to look for nocturnal animals
A BBQ Dinner will be provided.
Children are invited to join us for the guided spotlight, which will last approximately one hour. We kindly ask everyone to keep noise to a minimum during this time, as it's essential for us to maintain quiet surroundings to observe the animals in their natural habitat.
Please remember to bring:
- Torch/headlamp if you have one - as we have a limited supply
- Wear long pants and enclosed shoes
- A jacket and beanie are also recommended for your comfort
Numbers are limited so please RSVP to avoid missing out.
For any questions about the event, please contact.
