Love Bites: A Queer Horror Romance Event on Friday the 13th

Honolulu Horror Nights hosts monthly film screenings of independent, international, and art-house horror films. This month, we are hosting a very special, invite-onlyΒ event atΒ Hawai'i Filmmakers Collective, a local non-profit dedicated toΒ promoting, encouraging and supporting independent filmmakers!Β 

For this event, all proceeds benefit the production and promotion of an upcoming short film, Grace. This will be released in early 2025.Β The film, which is based on a true story, revolves around two queer women, one Hawaiian and one haole, navigating love and connection during a time when queer love was prohibited.

6:00 -Β 6:30 PM

Opportunity toΒ connect, grab a drink/snack and seat, and build community before the screenings!Β 

6:30 - 7:15 PM

We will be featuring local shorts, with opportunity for questions and conversation with the filmmakers!

7:15 - 9:15 PM

The feature film screening! Seats will be provided. Please feel free to bring anything that will make you feel more comfortable.

9:15 - 9:30 PM

Connecting with others and discussion about the film is highly encouraged. Mahalo for your support!

There is street parking near Hawai'i Filmmakers Collective inΒ Kaimuki. Please feel free to bring food into the event. As always, popcorn is free!Β Snacks and drinks will be available with purchase /Β donation, and original art and shirts made and printed by local artists will be for sale!Β
