Hibiscus Coast Clothes swap
Event description
The Hibiscus Coast Clothes Swap is back for 2024. Registered participants can swap clothes they no longer need or use. Bring up to 3 items you'd happily gift to a friend to wear (no kids' clothes). It's a great chance to find a new treasure!
Bring the clothes you want to swap to Whangaparaoa Hall between 10.30 and 11.30am on Saturday 20th April 2024. Grab a coffee or check out the local shops while you wait. We have a great workshop to engage you while you wait - details will be announced soon!
The event will start at 12pm after a quick briefing on how the swap will work. There will be spaces available for participants to try on clothes.
Once registered you'll be sent an email with more details on how to bring clothes to the swap, what kind of clothes are acceptable and what to expect on the day.
This event is free thanks to generous funding from Auckland Council and is facilitated by Hibiscus Coast Zero Waste.
Why swap instead of buying new? The textile industry is a major contributor to environmental degradation, consumes a lot of resources and often has poor conditions for workers. Let's do our bit to tread more lightly on Planet Earth.
