Event description

Hidden gems of Hazelbrook bush walking day trip

Join us for special bush walking day trip in the Blue Mountains National Park led by nature-based learning and connection specialists, Gone Bush Adventures.

You'll be led 'off the beaten track' on this bush walking day trip in the mid Blue Mountains town of Hazelbrook. The walk will intimately explore the main natural attractions and features of the Horseshoe Falls Reserve area while also visiting a number of lesser known, lesser visited and 'off the beaten path' spots in the area.

Meeting at 8am and finishing by 3:30pm, the walk will allow plenty of time to become immersed in the diverse bushland of North Hazelbrook - from open woodlands and clifftops abundant in wildflowers and magnificent trees to the cool depths of the temperate rainforests with their magnificent waterfalls and ferny groves.

The walk will be 6-10km depending on the fitness level and physical ability of the group. We kick off with an Acknowledgement of Country and some stretching followed by our bush walk. Throughout the day, we'll be walking at a gentle pace with plenty of stops and time to tune into the natural environment.

Some of the 'local' spots we'll visit on our adventure include The Amphitheatre, Horseshoe Falls, Lyrebird Rock, Red Gum Gully, Glow Work Nook Falls and Burgess Falls.

Your guide is licensed, first aid qualified and has lots of local knowledge to share on native plants, stories, cultural aspects and features of the area.

Best of all, your guide is focused on helping you enjoy the day and have a positive, enriching experience in nature.
