HIDDEN HOMELESSNESS FORUM

Soroptmist Internatonal of The Hills District Club invites you to join a night that is set to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness faced by older women in the Hills District.

We will be holding a Hidden Homelessness Forum at the Castle Hill RSL on Wednesday 25th October from 6.30 - 8.30pm.  This Forum is a follow up from the Forum Hills Soroptimists held in March 2020 - "Action on Homelessness - Older Women in Crisis".  

SI of The Hills are concerned about the continued rapid growth in the North West of Sydney. The cost of housing, rent and living costs are skyrocketing and no doubt these pressures will contribute to family breakdown and homelessness.  There is a serious lack of Transitional, Social and Affordable housing in the Hills District despite significant development.

Funds raised on the night through ticket sales will contribute to the club’s fundraising efforts to support The Kenthurst Transitional Housing Project.
