THE SUNDIALS
The explosive six-piece, The Sundials are rapidly establishing a national presence. Their 2026 schedule includes a feature spot at the highly-regarded Good Gumnuts Festival, sharing the bill with Dope Lemon, The Jungle Giants and others. They’ve quickly gained local popularity headlining multiple sell-out festivals, such as Among the Vines, and Daydreamers Festival on Kangaroo Island performing with Divebar Youth and Naomi Keyte, plus selling out both Melbourne and Adelaide Launches. Their latest single, Live for You, charted top 5 in the AMRAP community radio metro charts for three consecutive weeks. If the harmonies of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young were forged into a modern, dynamic groove by the Godfather of Soul James Brown, The Sundials would be the ripping result!

ELLA ION
Emerging from Kaurna Land (Adelaide, Australia), fragmented-folk musician Ella Ion crafts music that cuts deep to the core. Drawing on influences of indie-rock, folk and country, her eloquent lyricism and masterful musical control delivers a cacophony of raw emotion, anchored by grit and heart. Ion has already amassed a loyal following across Australia, having played at a plethora of prolific venues, events and shows. However, the reach of her sonic capabilities stretches beyond country borders, with listeners streaming her music across the UK, US, Europe and more. 

SONS OF ZÖKU
Experimental South Australian band SONS OF ZÖKU are known for their raw, world-influenced psychedelic sound, transcending the mainstream by blending elements of rock and folk with global music traditions, folding sitar and flute melodies into distinctive vocal hooks, rhythmic chanting, and upbeat, layered percussion. The 6-piece Adelaide collective features Portuguese-born Ricardo Da Silva and Ica Quintela, along with Australian-born Jordan Buck, Oscar Ellery, Hannah Yates and Luke Swann. In their recent new release of their sophomore album ËNDLËSS, SONS OF ZÖKU explore dynamics and repetition, drawing listeners deeper into their cohesive yet kaleidoscopic sound. The result is a modern, manifolded album that teems with the energy of change.

GRACE VANDALS
Unabashedly emotional, eclectic and full of the mortal notions of risk, love and loss – Grace Vandals delivers you into a rich and gritty world of sound, coated in an unexpected outer layer of tenderness. Her debut release, ‘What Can I Burn Here?’, invites you into a melting pot of Indie rock and folk influences, replete with visceral imagery, prickly emotions, ugly truths and childlike curiosity. Drawing inspiration from the illustrious creative minds of Jeff Buckley, Patti Smith and the like, Vandals and her band share an open desire for unravelling perfection and embracing the unusual. Liberation to dive deep, explore sounds, make mistakes and enjoy the process is what drives her.

BADLAND CARAVAN

Having formed in the twilight of 2021, Badland Caravan are a Psychedelic Occult-Blues band based in Kaurna country (Adelaide, South Australia). Their music offers a caduceus-like movement between the Dionysian-Solar Mysteries and a kind of Hermetic Alchemy of sound, permeating an aura of intense sonic mysticism. Those engaged are initiated into the forthcoming Aeon; the threshold between the inner arcanum and the external world of appearances is bridged wholly by Joining The Caravan.

POMEGRANATES
A self described groovy and feral band, their origins track back to Northern Sound System, for their first performance live. This lively four-piece takes a heavy hand in electric guitar and killer vocals, and is perfect for having a bumping night.

THE VENUE

The Three Brothers Arms in Macclesfield, is one of the oldest (and coolest) pubs in the Adelaide Hills, and prides itself on good beer, good food and good music. It's about a 45 minute scenic drive from Adelaide to Macclesfield.

HOW DO I GET TO MACCLESFIELD?

The best way depends on your priority: driving (fastest/most flexible) takes ~45 mins; the Adelaide Metro Route 850 bus (cheapest) takes ~1.5 hrs with transfers via Aldgate/Mt Barker; while Uber/rideshare offers convenience but costs significantly more. Driving gives freedom through the scenic Adelaide Hills, but the 850 bus is budget-friendly to travel. *Please double check weekend times and routes.

Here's a breakdown:

1. By Car (Fastest & Most Flexible)

Route: Head east from Adelaide through the city, onto the M1 Freeway (South Eastern Freeway), then follow signs towards the Adelaide Hills and Macclesfield (via Hills Road/Mount Barker Road, then connecting roads).

Time: Around 45-50 minutes, depending on traffic.

Pros: Direct, scenic, set your own schedule.

Cons: Fuel costs. 

2. By Bus (Most Budget-Friendly)

Service: Adelaide Metro Route 850 (operated by SouthLink).

Route: Catch the 850 from Adelaide to Aldgate or Mount Barker, then transfer to a connecting service (like Route 857) towards Macclesfield.

Time: Roughly 1.5 hours or more with transfers.

Pros: Very cheap, uses standard Adelaide Metro fares.

Cons: Slower, requires timetable checking and potential waiting for connections, mainly Mon-Fri. *Please double check weekend times and routes.

3. By Rideshare/Taxi (Convenient but Pricy)

Service: Uber, Didi, or traditional taxi.

Time: Similar to driving, around 50 minutes.

Pros: Door-to-door service, no navigating needed.

Cons: Significantly more expensive than the bus (estimate $70+ for Uber). 

Recommendation:

For a quick, scenic trip with freedom, drive. Gather your pals together from a road trip to the hills. Throw your swags in, and camp the night. Grab a coffee and bacon and egg sarnie from the local general store Sunday morning.

CAMPING

Free camping is available on site at the venue in Macclesfield. Three Brothers Arms has a big backyard to pitch a tent or set up a swag. There's also room for a car or van just down the road at Davenport Square or Crystal Lakes Campground. Arrive early to get the best spot!

SET TIMES

Set times will be advertised about a week or two out from the event, but the first band will kick off about 4:45pm and we'll keep the good vibes rollin' 'til about 11:30pm.

PARKING

There's limited street parking at the venue, so if you miss out, try the campground/oval just down the road.

FOOD

Three Brothers Arms will be serving up their fantastic pub grub, with their signature wood-fired pizzas to die for!

DRINKS

Three Brothers Arms has a good selection of beers on tap, along with award winning hills' wines and all the usuals. There will also be specials on non-alco Heaps Normal beers if you plan on keeping things tidy.
