Event description

Music Anyone?

Here's the first of many to come this year. we aren't just here for a winter season but a stretch of shows that hopefully keep some high calibre music back around the Bay area for longer than a few months. I think we all need it in our lives.

High Fi 2025 presents:

Greg Sheehan, Bobby Singh, Benjamin Walsh

have been playing music together for 3 decades.

Their phenomenal skillset and effortless synergy makes Circle Of Rhythm a world class trio, exhibiting high calibre musicianship and rhythmic proficiency that is rare to find, Each of these individuals are band leaders and solo artists in their own right.. so it's rare when they land in the same town all at once. When they do join forces, their trio represents an Incredibly unique musical soundscape who's seamless onstage communication has been forged from decades of performing together across many stages around the world. after 30 years whenever they play together is a special and rare event. So it's fitting to launch our 2025 season and catch them off the back of a brand new recording and composing session.

The first set of the night features new music performed by Peter Hunt ( trumpet and Vocal) with a special ensemble.

After many shows together at High Fi, drummer & composer Benjamin Walsh wanted to explore the impossible combination of Peters Voice and Trumpet simultaneously, only possible through recording, He made a correlation of the 2 textures together formed a complete picture of Peter hunts musical mindset, and how the melodies we sing differ to the melodies expressed through an instrument (the trumpet). The spiritual Jazz recordings were based on a series of compositions and explorations reflecting on HOPE a beautiful and necessary commodity in the age we are living in. The album is still being written and a few small samples will be performed with some very special guests.

Its good to be back again

We look forward to welcoming you back inside The Northern rivers premiere listening room.
