Then join author Sarah Hawthorn in conversation with Donna Andrews as she reveals the story behind the book, the writing, and the world of HIGH LAND.

About the cast:

After a career spanning theatre, publishing and marketing, Sarah Hawthorn made the tree change from Sydney to NSW’s beautiful Southern Highlands to pursue her dream of writing fiction. Her debut thriller A Voice in the Night was published by Transit Lounge in 2021 and is optioned for film. She has two other novels published internationally: romantic comedy, Love Camera Action, and historical mystery, The Dilemma. High Land is her fourth novel, set between the Southern Highlands and several global locations.

Donna Andrews is CEO and Partner at Sticky Pictures, an independent, multi-award winning, creative-driven production company. A BAFTA and AACTA nominated producer, Donna has over 30 years’ experience in broadcasting and production. Donna was named in  “Australia’s Power 50” – a list of the top 50 most influential people in the Australian Film and Television industry. Donna lives in Bundanoon with her husband John Grono and handsome kelpie Sir Edmund Hillary (Eddie).

Dean Carey is founder of Actors Centre Australia, whose patron is Hugh Jackman, and previously was Head of Acting at NIDA and WAAPA. He has worked professionally in the arts for 48 years.
