What is FND? Functional neurological disorder (FND) can involve a variety of neurological symptoms affecting the motor, sensory and cognitive functions.

FND is a very common, but little heard of condition and can present in many different ways, depending on which part of the neurological system is affected and can cause severe disability. If it is diagnosed and treated early, the outlook for a good recovery is greatly increased. Sadly, this is often not the case and so raising awareness is essential to give those who experience FND the best chance of a return to health and/or preventing chronic illness and disability.
