Event description

Please join us to celebrate High VisAbility, our 2025 summer residency in collaboration with CAN (Community Arts Network).

Celebrating identity and visibility, collaboration, and possibility, High VisAbility is a playful, summertime celebration full of neon, fluoro fun.
High VisAbility  is produced by CAN in collaboration with Sir David Brand School, which provides individually structured programs for students with disabilities from the age of 4 to 18 years.

It’s a project about possibility. With Mandy White – a Yamatji woman and artist with an intellectual disability – as one of the project's artistic leaders, High VisAbility is designed to enable students, teachers, families and carers to navigate pathways into the arts for people with disabilities.

The magical artworks created by students in collaboration with artists Mandy White and Natalie Scholtz, alongside Creative Producer Tegan Jenkins and Executive Producer Michelle White, are a vibrant and playful exploration of identity, place and visibility.

CAN’s High VisAbility project was made possible through funding from the State Government through the Department of  Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ Creative Learning program and the Australian Government through its principal arts investment and advisory body, Creative Australia. The celebration event is supported by the Town of Claremont.
