Distance: ~4.5km out-and-back | Mount Iron Track

Grade: Easy–Moderate | ~1 hour walk

Wrap-up: Sauna session with The Secret Sauna and a warm tea ~10:00 AM

We’ll kick things off with a scenic hike up Mount Iron, where you’ll take in panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and lakes. After the hike, we’ll make our way to Lake Hāwea to unwind at the incredible Secret Sauna, a cosy lakeside haven nestled in nature.

We'll be alternating between the sauna and cold plunges into the lake for the best post hike recovery. It’s the perfect mix of movement, connection, and rejuvenation.

8:00 AM – Meet at Mount Iron Track Carpark, 124 Wanaka-Luggate Highway, Wānaka

8:15 AM – Start Mount Iron Track (~4.5km, 1hr)

10:00 AM – Arrive at The Secret Sauna at Lake Hāwea for sauna, tea & lake dips

11:15 PM – Wrap-up
