Hike for History and support future generations
Join this comfortable 2.5 kilometre Hike for History at Mercedes College on Thursday, 26 May from 8.30am and walk in the footsteps of Olympic medalists, world-class musicians, actors … even the Premier of South Australia.
Limited to only 50 guests this exclusive ‘Hike for History’ event is part of May’s South Australian History Festival.
Participants will enjoy a pre-hike coffee in the beautiful College grounds, once part of Springfield Estate and considered for the residence of the Governor of South Australia.
During your 2 hour guided tour you’ll walk in the footsteps of the College’s successful alumni, as we share stories about Mercedes College, including how it was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1954 in the historic Strathspey house built in 1899, boarder antics in the 1950-60s, and insights into our surrounding landmarks.
Tickets cost: $25
Inclusions: Coffee, 2 hour guided tour, and gift bag including a copy of The Mercy Way.
Proceeds from ticket sales will support Mercedes College’s new Arts and Sports Precinct, helping students to flourish for decades to come.
