Hilary Geddes Quartet

“Geddes – and her quartet – are well into the process of establishing a genuinely distinctive voice, despite this being their debut studio release. Parkside is a recording to listen to several times over, then again.” - Loudmouth

★★★★1/2 … writes with an elegant rigour and panache…” – Limelight Magazine

Hilary Geddes is a guitarist, improviser and composer based in Eora/Sydney on Gadigal Land. She is the 2021 Freedman Jazz Fellow, a 2021 ABC Jazz Scholarship recipient, and the 2019 recipient of the Jann Rutherford Memorial Award. Hilary is the bandleader of the Hilary Geddes Quartet, and released her debut album 'Parkside' (ABC Jazz)  with the band in 2021. Featuring the stellar Maximillian Alduca (bass), Alexander Inman-Hislop (drums) and Matt Harris (piano), the group will be performing a new set of music before heading into the studio later in the month to record their second album.

HEAPS GRASS

HEAPS GRASS is the new trio of Ebony Tait (voice and piano), Lachlan Mills (guitar and effects) and Jack Rosenzweig (drums). These three unique voices join forces to perform new music exploring themes such as childhood memories, nostalgia and nature. Fusing pre-determined and improvised material in their compositions, the trio create a distinctive and varied sonic landscape in which each member’s unique voice shines through.
