South West Music Regional Conservatorium present Hilary Manning, Harpist. This event is part of the Live Music Concert Series.

Please join us on Sunday 19 February at 3pm at the Multi-Arts Centre in Deniliquin. It will be an afternoon of beautiful music, sunshine and complimentary drinks and nibbles. This event is an opportunity to thank and acknowledge Cheryl Fuller who has recently retired after 35 years as Chair of the Board at South West Music. Cheryl has been dedicated to South West Music for the past 35 years. Her commitment and loyalty to the organisation has been unwavering. We will also formally welcome Ray Davey as our new Chair of Board. Ray comes from Balranald and has substantial experience in economic development in regional Australia.

Hilary Manning, Harpist, will present a solo concert of ‘summertime’ harp music. Featuring a collection of familiar classical music and more contemporary Australian pieces, the audience will be treated to an afternoon of larks singing, birds spinning, and other musical interpretations of quietude, flowers, night-time. This promises to be a beautiful afternoon concert.

Hilary Manning has embraced many exciting opportunities throughout her musical life. In Finland, she studied with Leea Nikku at the Tampereen Konservatorio and Marjatta Haahti at the Sibelius Academy. In Australia, she studied her Bachelor of Music at the Australian National University, completing her final year in Canada with the incredible Judy Loman at the University of Toronto. She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Professional Music Practice at the University of Tasmania. In England, she studied with Gabriella dall’Olio, Head of Harp Studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
