2025 International Men's Day Lunch by Healthier Illawarra Men

Clear your calendar on 14 November 2025 to join global cricket legend Lord Ian Botham as he headlines Healthier Illawarra Men’s 2025 International Men’s Day Lunch.

“Beefy” Botham is one of the most recognisable and charismatic figures in world cricket. A fierce competitor on the field and tireless charity fundraiser off it. 

Beyond the pitch, Lord Botham has dedicated decades to philanthropy. His famous long-distance charity walks across the UK have raised millions for causes including leukemia research, children’s hospitals, diabetes and cancer support services. In recognition of his service to sport and charity, he was knighted in 2007 and elevated to the House of Lords in 2020.

This special appearance will help shine a national spotlight on our mission: to change the conversation around masculinity, mental wellbeing, and men’s health.

The 2025 HIM International Men’s Day Lunch will be held on Friday 14 November, coinciding with World Diabetes Day, a cause close to Ian’s heart. The event will be held at the University of Wollongong University Hall.

Since 2022, the HIM International Men’s Day Lunch has raised over $350,000 for local charities supporting men in our region. With Lord Botham’s support, 2025 is set to be our most impactful year yet.
