What is Himalaya Day?

A truly special day in our AHF history, Himalaya Day commemorates the day in 1953 on which Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay achieved the first ascent of Mt. Everest.

Every year, we have come together with family, friends and supporters old and new to celebrate Sir Ed’s groundbreaking humanitarian work in the Himalaya. All donations will fund our continued work with communities in the Himalaya through our environmental, education and health programs.

By attending an AHF Himalaya Day event, you will be part of #AustraliasBiggestCurryNight - an opportunity to help take the heat off the Himalaya, whilst sharing delicious Himalayan cuisine.
