HINA - "Omen" | Premiere
Event description
Come and revel in the first performance of 'Omen' - HINA's sophomore project. Omen is both a beginning and an end; just as HINA’s first project ‘Muse’ spoke to the radiance of a full moon, Omen embodies the dark renewal of a new moon - the death of self and the rebirth that follows. With a performance from special guest Hun Lynch.
Hannah Lynch is a multi-disinplinary artist who works primarily as an musician, actor and score maker. She is of Palagi and Samoan descent whose ancestors hail from New Zealand and the village of Vaiusu. She also whakapapa Ngāti Porou. Hannah’s solo project Hun Lynch has released music and she is working on her first EP to be released in 2024. The project is a queer futurist expression, focused on merging urgent live instrumentation and voice with synthetic sounds. At once a love letter to all that has come before and a tolling of the bell of what is to come. She has performed live gigs across the country as a solo act and with acclaimed musicians Eden Mulholland, Jol Mulholland and Alistair Deverick of Boycrush as well as Neo-jazz band VIDA.
