Postponing! Hinewai Reserve Trip
Description
Explore the beautiful ngahere at Hinewai Reserve with other environmentally passionate rangatahi from Forest & Bird Youth and the Canterbury University Tramping Club (CUTC)!
We will meet at the UCSA car park (90 Ilam Road, Ilam, Christchurch 8041) at 8am, and then head off to the Peninsula for a fun adventure hiking around the reserve.
Please note that the trails are steep and can be technical, so sturdy outdoor shoes are a must.
Transport and lunch are provided - make sure you bring suitable warm clothing, wet weather gear, snacks, a backpack, and a drink bottle.
We will return to the UCSA around 6pm.
Hinewai is an ecological restoration project, led by Hugh Wilson, where gorse was used as a nurse crop to restore native forest.
This is a must-do event if you love adventure, hanging out with a good bunch of adventure lovers, and hanging out in nature!
We will send you a confirmation email around a week before the event, confirming all the details.
