Historia: Beauty Routines
Event description
For children 8 to 13 years
Being beautiful in the past was not a simple process. Make sure you covered your hair in animal fat, but then protected it from the rats overnight while you slept. Cover your face in poisons that will slowly drive you insane, and don't forget to wash your mouth out with urine.
This month we will explore some of history's bizarre beauty practices and have a go at treating some wigs to a true historical beauty regimen.

To enable a safe, enjoyable experience at our library events, children aged 11 and under must be supervised at all times by a parent, guardian or carer.
