Illawarra Business & Community Lunch on the Referendum
Event description
On 14 October, Australia will go to the polls in our first referendum since the republic vote 24 years ago.
This referendum is generating just as much interest, as the Yes and No camps pitch their views on whether Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders should be recognised in our constitution and given a Voice to Parliament.
The surveys are still showing many people are undecided and want more information before they vote. This not-to-be-missed event is a chance to become better informed with a great line up of speakers, headed by respected journalist and political commentator, Kerry O’Brien.
