History of Australian Astronomy Workshop 2025

This free workshop showcases the breadth of the history of astronomy. Six speakers will each present a topic. The topics covered include astronomers who have been innovators, the continuing connection Indigenous Peoples have to the night sky, changes in technologies, people who have impacted our understanding of the cosmos and women who conducted scientific work behind the scenes.

This workshop is suitable for astronomers, historians, curators, students and all who are curious about the the topics presented or how to go about researching in this field. This is an opportunity to connect with others interested and involved in the history of astronomy in Australia. You do not have to be a member of the ASA or HAAC to register.
