Register to join on 19 Nov. 2pm - 5:15pm AEDT (UTC+11) and/or to receive recorded talks after the workshop. You must register before 1:30pm AEDT (UTC+11) on Wednesday 19 Nov to attend the Zoom presentation online and live. All registrations after that time will be sent the recording URL.
The seven short presentations are on-line, Six are presented live. It is essential to register to receive the Zoom link so you can participate. If you register you will be sent the on-line link the day before the event. The PROGRAM starts at 2pm AEDT (UTC+11) with an introduction and acknowledgement of country (Nick Lomb).
At 2:10pm Mark Rigby and Tom Harradine present 'Sir Thomas Brisbane’s Parramatta Observatory Revisited, 1821–1825'.
At 2:35pm 'Making them visible: women in astronomy in Australia' by Toner Stevenson and at 3:00pm Fred Watson will discuss 'How Australian Astronomers Cooked Up a High-Fibre Diet'. At 3:25pm Martin George presents 'Grote Reber in Tasmania'.
At 3:50pm Duane Hamacher presents 'Indigenous astronomy: history, challenges and what we have learned'. At 4:15pm Kerrie Dougherty will discuss 'Observing the “Man-made Moons”: the Role of Australian Amateur Astronomers in Operation Moonwatch ' and at 4:40pm Stephanie Rossini-Bryson presents 'Narrabri Stellar Intensity Interferometer'. There will be an opportunity for closing remarks and the workshop will finish at 5:15pm AEDT (UTC+11).
Notes: Each presentation is approximately 20 minutes in length and there will be a few minutes after each presentation for questions and discussion.
