Hive & Seek Market: April 2023
Our markets are run by volunteers from our Not-for-Profit group called Create Collaborate Collective Inc which supports, music, arts and markets in our local Queanbeyan area. The venue for our Hive & Seek Market is in central Queanbeyan in the garden space of an award winning Heritage Gallery Cottage called The Queanbeyan Hive. We offer an intimate market experience and will be holding 9 markets throughout the year. We have decided not to run them during the Winter months.
They will always occur on the First Saturday of the Month with shortened time frames when we are not in daylight savings. If our market is cancelled due to inclement weather we will transfer you to another market day or refund your stall purchase.
We are advocates for recycling wares (of all kinds), and supporters of local growers, artisans, designers and not for profit organisations. We are also interested in goods that are mindful in caring for our plant’s environment and it’s people - ie no exploitation. All applications for stalls will be reviewed. Purchasing a ticket does not automatically guarantee your inclusion in an event but a full refund will be given if your application is not accepted.
Insurance: If you are selling products that could pose a risk to customers under certain circumstances, such as food or cosmetics, you will need both Public Liability and Product Liability Insurance. Previously we have had extra insurance to cover some stall holders for public liability but this is no longer the case. We as market co-ordinators have our own Public liability policy but you will also need to get your own as a stall holder. Policies can be placed online annually with direct market insurers such as my mymarketinsurance or aami who offer affordable annual cover that are tailored for small stall holders.
Socials: We require you to upload a quality photo of your products with your application for us to use in our promotions of the market.
We have a Facebook Hive & Seek Market Page and a stall holder group and instagram page. Our linktree has all our 'open markets' for your registrations.
Food vendors: If you prepare food on site we would love to hear what you have to offer. We have limited space for food trucks/vans and so would like to talk to you before you purchase a stall with us. Our food vendor stall fees are $45.00. If we approve you we will give you a special access code to purchase a stall.
