HiveMind Community Apiary is a community enterprise focused on connecting people living with a mental health condition through the use of beekeeping as a complementary intervention using the practice of mindfulness.   Hivemind Community Apiary Volunteers and Friends come from all walks of life and experiences of living with, caring for or working with people with mental illness.

If beekeeping sounds like something you'd like to give a try, come along to our Open Day and meet us and the bees. 

We'll talk with you about our beautiful bees, help you into some protective beekeeping equipment and we'll open a hive together.

You'll see so many fascinating things happening in the hive as we guide you through the inner workings of their home.

 Hive Openings at 2.15pm and 3.15pm with our HiveMind Volunteers. If you'd like to join a Hive Opening please

- Wear pants, socks and closed toed shoes. 

- Bring along a water bottle and peaked cap if it's a warm day.

*It's possible that you may be stung by a honeybee while you are at the Apiary, so if you are allergic to bee stings, perhaps avoid beekeeping and learn to creating a bee friendly garden instead. One of our Volunteers, Amanda loves to talk about creating a pollinator pantry for beneficial insects.

This is a drug and alcohol-free event. No smoking or vaping on while at the Apiary please.
