HMAS Gascoyne Freedom of Entry
Event description
As part of the HMAS Gascoyne decommissioning, the Ships Company will be coming to Exmouth from the 15th to 18th of November to engage with the community and do their final Freedom of Entry March. The Shire of Exmouth is excited to welcome the Crew back and have them participate in a number of community events over the weekend. These events include:
Friday 15th of November:
HMAS Gascoyne Crew VS Exmouth Touch Football Association in a friendly game of Touch. Game starts at 6:30, everyone is welcome to come and support the teams and a Sausage Sizzle will be provided.
Saturday 16th November:
Freedom of Entry March starting at the Exmouth Cenotaph at 10am.
The March will leave the Cenotaph and walk down Maidstone Cres, turning right onto Learmonth St then left onto Kennedy St. They will be challenged in Kennedy St mall, with the Freedom of Entry being granted. They will then proceed, turning left onto Thew St and crossing to Federation Park. Their marching band will be part of this parade.
