HMBS Faculty Orientation Semester 2 2026

Please join us for the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences (HMBS) Orientation for commencing students.

We know UQ is big place to navigate so let us help you get off to a great start. We will provide you with an overview including where your School fits into the Faculty and UQ overall. It will be a great opportunity to meet some like-minded students from throughout Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences, and understand how the Faculty can support you in your journey.

Session will include:

• Welcome from HMBS Faculty Executive leadership

• Interactive team activity so you can meet your peers

• Panel Q&A session with later year students

• Study tips from an Academic Skills Advisor

• Free pair of HMBS socks and your orientation passport at the conclusion of the session

Registrations will open at 9:30am for a 10am start.

IMPORTANT: This session will be followed with Hello HMBS!, a festival-style event for new HMBS students. You can find out more about and register for this second part of your orientation here. We recommend attending both sessions.
