The festival will culminate in an exciting Independent Book Fair, where you can discover and support local independent authors and publishers. Salamanca Arts Centre’s Hobart LitFest runs from Thursday 3rd until Saturday 12th April 2025 in the Long Gallery and is supported by the City of Hobart, and sponsored by Forty South Tasmania, Island Magazine, & Hobart Bookshop amongst other Tasmanian businesses.

Ticketing Information
Please note that tickets for Hobart LitFest are limited to the capacity of the Long Gallery.
The Festival Hub will be a combination of sitting and standing room at times, dependent on audience numbers.
If you have any accessibility issues, please talk to one of our friendly staff staff members upon your arrival at the event.
Passouts are available for re-entry on same day.
Entry instructions
The Long Gallery is on Level 1 and can be accessed via the main entrance on Salamanca Place. Stairs are located via this main entrance, and our lift is accessible through the courtyard, also available via Salamanca Place.
Toilet location
Salamanca Arts Centre has accessible gender-neutral toilets on Level 1. There are also gendered toilets available to the public on the ground floor.
Accessible parking
Parking along Salamanca Place is quite limited dependent on the time of day and day of the week. Accessible parking is situated at a number of points along Castray Esplanade.
