A 2-day TaKeTiNa® rhythm intensive  - February 24 -25 2024 @Kingston Beach Hall 

In this "Mindfulness in Rhythm + Motion" workshop, we will actively immerse ourselves in embracing generative states and nurturing a more positive, resilient, and authentic sense of self.

Through the immersive practice of focused attention and dynamic rhythm, we unlock the gateway to restorative and contemplative states, cultivating a profound harmony with our thoughts, intentions, and actions. ABOUT the TaKeTiNa Rhythm Process as developed by Reinhard Flatischler

TaKeTiNa is a process for activating human and musical potential through rhythm and the body and is a path in which musical learning always goes hand in hand with personal development. 

As a rhythm and meditation process, TaKeTiNa requires no musical experience and is an extremely playful and joyous way of entering into the archetypal foundations of rhythms that exist in all music. 

Polyrhythms and cross-rhythms form the basis of the process as it utilizes the body by stepping, clapping and singing to generate a complex and rich rhythmic choir which leads participants into states of relaxation, inner presence, and awareness. 

The process presents opportunities for fun, spontaneity, self-observation, musical expression, reflection and time to rest and restore.

Early Bird rate limited to the first 25 bookings $185. After these places are booked the cost for the workshop is $220 concession /$260 full

About Tania and Christina 

Leader - Tania Bosak Musician, Actor, Master TaKeTiNa Teacher

Tania has dedicated over 34 years to a multifaceted career as an actor, musician, producer, composer, musical director, theatre director, and passionate educator, both in Australia and internationally. Her journey began with training in Odissi and Bharatanatyam Indian Classical dance from 1989 to 1997, complemented by acting and physical theatre training at The John Bolton Theatre School in 1991. This diverse foundation ignited her enduring passion for rhythm, storytelling/theatre, and movement.

In 2018, after more than two decades of training and practice, Tania achieved certification as a Master TaKeTiNa Rhythm facilitator. TaKeTiNa, a distinctive Rhythm and Meditation process created by composer and musician Reinhard Flatischler, became a focal point of her expertise. She trained with Flatischler in the USA and assisted him between 2010 and 2021 in TaKeTiNa Teacher Trainings, Weekend workshops, and Drumming and Percussion courses.

Tania’s interest in rhythm expanded to encompass health, healing, group process work, and music for social and personal change. This led her to complete a Diploma in Solution-Focused Counselling (CET, Dr. Rob McNeilly) and further training with Stephen Gilligan, including a Trance Camp in 2008 and a certificate in Generative Trance therapy at the Institute of Applied Psychology (IAP) in 2020. In 2021, Tania completed a leader training certificate with ‘Musicians without Borders’ in Germany alongside Otto De Jong, Marion Haak-Schulenburg, and Juan David Garzon.

Tania’s expertise in TaKeTiNa led to an invitation to teach in the Bachelor of Rhythm and Rhythmics at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, a groundbreaking 3-year training program co-founded by Arnould Massart. This program is designed for professional music and rhythm teachers seeking to enhance their skills for artistic, educational, socio-cultural, or health-care settings.

Tania holds a BA in Performing Arts, Contemporary Dance, and Education and completed additional training in music, physical theatre, acting, and movement at The John Bolton Theatre School in 1993. She is also a proud member of IAGC, The International Association of Generative Change.

C-leader Christina Giudici - Musician, Advanced TaKeTiNa teacher

Christina began studying TaKeTiNa with Reinhard Flatischler in 2005, completing the three-year Basic level teacher training held near Portland, Oregon. She completed her Advanced training with Reinhard in Berkeley, California, in 2011. She runs regular public TaKeTiNa workshops in and around Hobart, Tasmania, with other certified teachers.

Christina was an active member of playback theatre as both a performer and facilitator for over 10 years in Hobart. Playback Theatre is a form of Applied Theatre. Improvisational in its approach, the audience or group members share moments from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot by trained actors using music, movement and dialogue that embodies the heart of the story.

Christina owns and runs a small business in Tasmania called FIMBY (Food In My Back Yard) which provides advice and hands-on help for people wanting to grow their own food. Interspersed with that she does consult work with Renewable Energy developers around Australia and Southeast Asia, in environmental management and community engagement. Christina and her partner are also spending any spare weekends planting trees, nuts, berries, vegetables, herbs, windbreaks and vines, and building fences, at their farm and forest at Bream Creek, southeast of Hobart.
