Description

Holding Families; Holding Ourselves

Supporting families through separation and co-parenting is complex, meaningful work and it asks a lot of those who do it.

This year’s Family Law Pathways Network Conference invites professionals across the sector to pause, reflect and strengthen their practice through our theme: “Holding families; holding ourselves.”

This is not about surface-level self-care. It’s about the deeper work—how we show up in our roles, how we navigate complexity, and how we sustain ourselves while supporting others through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Whether you are a lawyer, counsellor, social worker, psychologist, mediator, educator, or frontline practitioner, this conference is designed for all professionals working alongside separating and co-parenting families.

What to Expect

A thoughtfully curated program featuring experienced voices from across the sector, including:

  • Dr Wendy Bonython

  • Alexander Horneman-Wren SC, Retired District Court Judge

  • Amanda Shelton

  • Panel discussion with Independent Children’s Lawyers and

  • Anne Marie Rice

Together, these sessions will challenge, inform and deepen your understanding of:

  • Trauma and its impact on families and young people

  • The intersection of legal and human systems

  • Sustaining yourself in emotionally demanding work
