Both Marcia and Marcus have been leading Indigenous voices in standing with the Jewish community since October 7, offering support, speaking out against antisemitism, and showing what real allyship looks like. Together with Melissa Castan, they’ll share personal reflections, speak hard truths, and explore practical steps forward. What does solidarity look like now? Marcus Stewart AMis a Nira illim bulluk man of the Taungurung Nation and is one of Australia’s most recognised and trusted Indigenous leaders and a former Co-Chair of the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria.
Melissa Castan is a human rights lawyer, legal academic, and long-time advocate for First Nations justice. She is the Director of the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law.
