Jo Scard, Founder and CEO of Fifty Acres

Jo Scard is Founder and CEO of Fifty Acres, with 20 years’ experience in communications and a wealth of knowledge in public relations and project management she stands as one of Australia’s most highly sought-after strategic advisors. A respected former journalist, Jo has worked with ITV, Associated Press, Seven Network, SBS, ABC and Fairfax, and previously acted as a senior adviser in the Rudd and Gillard governments as well as the British Labour Party. Jo is a trained lawyer, and acts as a board member for Fitted for Work and Hockey ACT.

Jason Glanville, Co-Founder and Director of Native Foodways

Jason is a queer Wiradjuri disruptor and start-up founder responsible for provoking institutions and reframing narratives of nation building. Jason has been privileged to lead and collaborate on the creation of Indigenous-led opportunity platforms like the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence, the Australian Indigenous Governance Institute, the Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity program at the University of Melbourne and the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples. He is currently an active Non-Executive Director of ACON, Go Foundation and Advisory Panel Member of the Sydney Policy Lab and recently joined the board of The Foundation for Young Australians.

Charmaine Crowe, Program Director Social Security for ACOSS

Working with ACOSS for over six years, Charmaine leads ACOSS’s social security policy work. She gained her expertise in social security policy working for Combined Pensioners and Superannuants Association (CPSA), where she was a Senior Policy Advisor and Policy Coordinator. She has also worked as a legislative advisor in the NSW Parliament. Charmaine has a Master’s in International Health and Welfare Policy from Oslo University College and her policy expertise also covers the areas of ageing, health and housing.
