School Holiday Creative Arts Workshop: Tiny Seed
Event description
Explore The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle with art educator Meg Nicoll & Storybox Drama! A playful holiday workshop of art, music, and drama for ages 5 to 8.
Experience the creative process, playful exploration, improvisation and discovery through this hands-on multidisciplinary art workshop.
Inspired The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle, a heartfelt story about growth, change, and the courage to try again.
Children will journey with the brave tiny seed on its big adventure, blown by the wind, buried in snow, and finally blooming into something beautiful.
Collage Art: Experiment with paper of different colours and textures, to bring your ideas to life through collage art. Create a garden for the tiny seed to grow in and the insects that live there.
Music: Play with sound, rhythm and movement. Using our voices, bodies and imaginations, we'll create musical moments that follow the seed’s journey through the seasons.
Process Drama: Discover the characters from the story. If seeds could speak, what would they tell us? Meet an ageing flower who offers gentle wisdom. Children take on the role of garden flowers who offer encouragement and help the tiny seed to grow.
This workshop is perfect for children who enjoy imaginative play, love stories and art.
Join us and discover the magic that a tiny seed can hold!
