Family Class: Holiday Tamales (SOLVANG)
Description
Date: Saturday, December 19
Time: 11:00am-12:30pm.
This is a FAMILY class—we welcome children of all ages alongside adults! This class takes place in our Solvang kitchen at Bethania Church.
Description:
As we wrap up 2026 and the holiday season, learn how to make tamales, a traditional celebratory Christmas dish in many Latin American cultures. We'll teach you how to make fresh masa, as well as whip up two salsas from scratch. You'll create three tamale varieties (chicken; chile with cheese; and a sweet variety with seasonal fruit filling), and enjoy them in a shared meal at the end of class.
Our family classes are a fun, hands-on way to connect with your loved ones in the kitchen. Learn new skills, enjoy a shared meal together, and leave with recipes you can recreate together at home.
Capacity = 12
Registration closes 48 hours before class begins, as our chefs need time to shop and prep. We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies whenever possible. If a request cannot be accommodated for a particular class, we’ll contact you directly.
