Join us to learn about the importance of hollows in the landscape for native animals and tools available to supplement habitat for hollow-dwelling species, including the "hollow-hog" carving tool and nestboxes.

Talks in the morning with guest speakers Nils Karlsson from Calypto Hollows and Bruce McInnes from Laharum Landcare, followed by nestbox assembly and a field demonstration of the "hollow-hog" carving tool.

Lunch provided. Households will have the opportunity to take a nestbox home (pending availability).

A more detailed event program will be available closer to the date.

This free event is part of our "Restoring Natimuk - After the Fire" project and is supported by Landcare Australia Victorian Bushfire Recovery Grants 2026.

Horsham District Landcare Network is a not-for-profit group that supports Landcare across the Horsham district and contributes to large scale community-led biodiversity and sustainable agriculture outcomes.

Horsham District Landcare Network acknowledges the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk Peoples as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the lands on which we operate. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and recognise the long history of land management, knowledge and stewardship that continues to guide caring for Country today.
