Renowned singer/songwriter/storyteller and global activist, Holly Near performs that The Mazza Castle, where she will be joined by pianist Tammy Hall and bass player Jan Martinelli.

Holly Near is one of the most consistent and well informed voices for change of the last 50 years. Her work is loving, challenging, funny, thought-provoking, and remains rooted in the global community. As an outspoken singer and ambassador for peace, Holly brings a unique integration of world consciousness and self-evaluation, always growing and sharing experience humbly and boldly.

Tammy Hall is a Grammy-recognized pianist, composer, lecturer, and musical director. She began playing piano as a child and has since worked with and accompanied many vocalists and instrumentalists around the world. Tammy resides in the San Francisco Bay Area and is heavily involved in the jazz music scene there.

Jan Martinelli works with acoustic and electric bass as well as fretless. Jan has recorded with a wide variety of musical artists including the Motown singer Chris Clark, Montclair Women’s Big Band, Adrienne Torf & June Jordan, Robin Flower & Libby McLaren, Emma’s Revolution and Holly Near. She has worked as both pianist and bass player in a French ensemble, SonoMusette featuring Mimi Pirard.
