A birthday bash, party and fundraiser for our friend and living legend Holly Elkes! We’re bringing out big prizes, performances, and a whole lotta party poppers… we’ll let you have your cake and sit on it too.

• Comedic gaggery presented by scene icons Jamal and Rose KB.

• A silent but sultry auction of crochet art pieces by Deb Elkes.

• Drink specials – inc. a Southern Comfort concoction inspired by our Southern birthday Belle.

Be sure to get down early to catch the festivities, blow a candle, pop a popper and worship our birthday icon. To start the night with bountiful birthday cheer, Jamal and Rose KB are presenting a comedy show featuring acts from across the scene. If that wasn’t enough, (there's never enough), we will also be running the first PRIZE HOLE! - a special raffle for charity, featuring very generous prize contributions from all across the community. Prize details announced shortly!

💎 FUNDRAISER 💎

The profits from this event and its ticket & door sales, the Prize Hole raffle, and our auction will be split between two funds. One half will go toward Holly’s gender affirming surgery fundraiser, with the other half being distributed throughout the Trans community. This process will involve nuanced conversation and consultation with the community and we will provide transparency along the way. More information is available in a post on this event page.

Holly Elkes, who you may also know as Kerrod, has become an icon and, in our minds, an institution in our city. A most talented make up artist, performer, friend and community supporter, Holly has been the immaculate face and divine being who greets each of us upon entry to Connections over the past several years.

It's her birthday this month, and we've banded together to throw her a birthday party not only to say thank you, but to hopefully with your support, raise a significant amount of money to help bring her Gender Affirming Surgery fund closer to its target.
Accessible and affordable treatments for trans people in WA are still insufficient and scarcely available, and many individuals within these communities need our ongoing support, contribution and advocation.

• No strobes will be used in the lounge and terrace areas.
• There is plenty of hard and soft seating throughout.
• There is a single bathroom which is both unisex/wheelchair accessible, we ask that you are mindful of your use.

• Connections Nightclub is an 18+ venue, a valid ID is required.
